Marshall Exteriors Case Studies: Correcting a Roof

Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 by Christine Natale

When the homeowner contacted us at Marshall Exteriors she explained that your roof was 18 years old and had an existing 3 layers of shingles on it. One of her biggest challenges was to find a contractor that could take the portion of the back roof that was flat and make it a pitched roof. Her concerns were that the flatness causes the roof to leak and in this instance, she was completely correct. She spent many years dealing with costly repairs and maintaining her property when the roof was not built to properly shed water.

Marshall Exteriors roofing crew began by building a new pitched area over the flat portion of the roof. Once that was framed and the plywood was laid, the roofing crew began laying the shingles of the homeowner's choice. The beautiful GAF Timberline shingles in 'barkwood' color cause for great attention to be paid to the new roof. The homeowner chose to protect the investment with the GAF
Golden Pledge Warranty guaranteeing not only the material, but the workmanship of the new roof. Once the roof was complete, the Marshall Exteriors gutter crew installed new seamless white gutters with gutter guards to protect the foundation of your home from excess water.
