A major wind storm ripped shingles and siding off of this home in Gananda. Flying debri in the tornado force winds damaged windows. It wasn’t even a month later that a massive snow storm hit the area making the damage to the home worse. The homeowner’s contacted Marshall Exteriors because of their reputation in the area and their expertise in the insurance claim processes. This last piece was very important because the homeowners, hoped to have financial assistance from their homeowners insurance.
The Marshall Exteriors crew couldn’t begin fixing the damages until the homeowners, Christyne and Anthony, came to an agreement with their homeowners insurance. The Project Estimator, Adam, worked diligently with the insurance company to assist the Christyne and Anthony, in getting the repair worked covered. One of the obstacles to overcome was that upon removing some of the siding during pre-inspection, we discovered that the substrate was not structurally sound enough to hold the new siding. When the financing green light was given, the Marshall Exteriors crew began the large job of replacing the roof, siding and windows. The first step #TeamMarshall took was to remove the existing shingles and underlayment and replace the roof with the GAF System. 1735 sq. ft. of GAF Timberline shingles in ‘charcoal’ color, appropriate Ice & Water Shield and Synthetic Underlayment were expertly installed. Once the roof was complete, the team replaced 10 windows with new energy efficient VWD windows. The patio door was replaced with a Marvin Integrity sliding glass door. The final part of the project was to replace the substrate to prepare for the 1928 sq. ft. of Alside Coventry siding in ‘Harbor Blue’ color. To complete the project white seamless gutters were installed.
