The homeowners had an existing screen room off the back of their house. They were unable to use it as much as they would like due to the winters in Western NY. They met the Marshall Exteriors staff at the Rochester looking to turn the screen room into a sunroom that they could use all year around.
One of the Marshall Exteriors estimators, Paige, went to the home to talk with the homeowners about what they were looking for. The homeowners chose to have a Betterliving Vinyl Sunroom installed. With the homeowners, Paige designed a 12 by 24-foot sunroom with glass knee walls all around. The opposite sides of the room had sliding glass doors in the design. To begin the project, the sunroom crew began pulling apart the existing screened in room. As they pulled it apart they used 2x4’s to support the existing roof that would soon cover the new sunroom. After the vinyl frame of the room was installed the temporary posts were removed. The glass panels were then installed followed by the sliding glass doors. The windows and doors are all on a railing system, so they will stand up to any weather that is blown at them. The double paned glass will keep the room insulated so the family can enjoy the room all year long. New steps were built at both ends of the room for easy access.
