The customer contacted Marshall Exteriors because she saw an ad in a local paper. She had thirteen windows in her home that had several problems. Her casement windows became a struggle to open due to age and use. The existing double hung single pane windows were not vacuum sealed causing the windows to be ineffective as weather barriers. The existing bay window caused problems for the home as well. Replacing this window would require expertise because of it’s unique size. Due to the age of the windows, it was not surprising to Marshall Exteriors that the home had single pane windows. It was definitely time to replace these old, drafty windows.
The Marshall Exteriors Estimator began by talking in length with the customer about what she envisioned for her new windows. It was decided that staying with the existing type of windows would be the plan. For the bay window, a custom size was installed with a deluxe seat board for added strength and protection. A new VWD casement style window was installed expertly to replace the existing. The rest of the thirteen windows installed were VWD double hung style. All of the windows received grid patterns to add to the visual appeal of the home. All of the windows received special attention to insulation protecting the inside from the outside elements. Finally, the windows were expertly wrapped with metal on the exterior of the home to protect the siding and windows.
