These repeat customers called Marshall Exteriors because they wanted to finish their basement to have more room for family when they visited. They were looking to add a sitting room, a bathroom and a bedroom. They expressed that you wanted the space to feel open and have a lot of light. The home already had one of the most important pieces to this project; an egress window.
When Adam meet with the customers, he talked about the advantages and disadvantages of building a drywall basement or a TBF basement. The homeowners choose a TBF basement for it's durability and lifespan. The Marshall Exteriors basement crew began by framing out the different areas according to the building plan. Because basements typically span the whole size of the home, there was plenty of space to leave unfinished for storage. The Ever-last vinyl laminated non-insulated wall system with white trim was installed and the rooms began coming together. A Prestiage drop ceiling was installed with can lights to brighten the space. ThermalDry carpet in a charcoal color with gray framing was installed in the sitting/living area & bedroom to bring warmth and comfort. The bathroom floor would surely get wet, so the ThermalDry tile flooring in a sandstone color was installed in that area for easy clean up. Finally, the homeowners choose two white Milliken French doors for the bedroom. All the doors have nickel hinges & hardware to accent the space.
