Because of a leaky roof, this homeowner's bedroom ceiling was stained with water spots and was in need of help from the experts at Marshall Exteriors. After the structure of the roof was rebuilt using appropriate materials, it was time to cut away 156 sq. ft. of the ceiling. Once the drywall ceiling was removed, the crew revealed two more ceilings that needed to be removed before the new insulation and drywall could be installed. To complete the bedroom, a coat of primer and paint was added to the ceiling with crown molding trim.
This once unusable basement was transformed by finishing it with appropriate materials and professional help. Once the mold resistant drywall was installed a prestige drop ceiling, box-outs and 6 LED can lights on a dimmer switch were installed to give the basement a fresh clean look. Using the LED lights will add to this energy efficient basement. Trim was added around the basement windows and the 3 new doors. The doors were tastefully accented with nickel levers. For easy access one of the posts were wrapped in pine and an electrical outlet was added. Lastly a wall plate that included electric and cable access for the TV was installed.
